First Year Teacher Help

Help me give my students paper/utensils to use, posterboard to make visual aids, and paint so we can make some sweet projects. Sharpies are for my use so I can reuse my visual aids for years to come.

My Project

I am a first year art teacher. The school I got hired at doesn’t have a lot of money, and naturally that comes with very limited supplies. I have very little paper, I am running out of specific colors of paint, and almost no markers or crayons are left. I also don’t have visual aids and I do not have a lot of paint on my walls so I have to make all my own visual aids. Please help me help these kids get the best education they can get.

I am going to make visual aids that will help represent different elements of art to help emphasize the posters that I ordered.

I’m going to make my expectations list and display it for all of my students to see, which is why I need the posterboard and the Sharpies.

Paint is going to be used for several different projects including color theory, making a color wheel, making a self portrait, and painting pots.

The crayons and the Crayola markers will also assist with similar projects listed for the paint. Teaching kids how to use different materials to make similar things is important to show variety and understanding of the materials used.

The construction paper will be used to do paper related projects, such as paper mosaics. We need nice supply organizers to be able to easily find all of our materials.
