Hello! My name is Miss Haggerty, and next year I am going to be a first-year teacher, teaching first grade. I feel as though I have a special connection to the school district in which I am teaching in. Having two generations of family that grew up in the town as well as having worked as an intern in the school for the past year, I have grown such a special connection to my school and its students. Teaching is my dream job and I can not wait to have a classroom of my own next year. Teaching my students and watching them learn and grow is what brings me the most joy! Please consider donating to my project to help fund the basics for my first classroom! Items such as a classroom rug and carpet spots will allow for a comfortable gathering space large enough for community-building activities such as a daily morning meeting in our classroom. In addition, dry-erase spots will allow students to show their work and thinking during small-group instruction.
