As a first-year art teacher, I want to give my students the opportunity to flourish. I want to provide them with a comforting and magical space to allow them to let their creativity shine! Since this is my first-year teaching, I want to make sure I have the supplies needed to jumpstart my classroom, along with creating a classroom they feel safe in. The classroom I will be moving into has limited storage space, so with organization supplies, I am hoping to maximize the space to create a functional classroom environment. Along with a drying rack to store students work safely. I have also put markers, pencils, scissors, and aprons on my list to make sure I have the basic art supplies needed for my students to start the year off.
The decorative items on my list are to make sure I can provide my students with a classroom they can feel safe to express themselves in.
I want the art room to feel like their special place. Overall, making sure the students have everything they need to feel welcomed and comfortable into the art class is my ultimate goal.
