My students are amazing kids who face many challenges both at home and at school. My students all have various disabilities, but they don't let their disabilities hold them back.
All of my students are unique, but one thing is the same in each of them: they love to learn!
My students come from a variety of backgrounds and face many challenges before even entering our school. We work together every day to overcome those challenges and reach new heights. I work with about 75 special education students every week, reaching kids with various disabilities. My students love to move, explore and play.
My Project
I have some absolutely amazing new little learners who are just beginning their learning journey. They all have various disabilities that makes learning extra challenging for them. These challenges can sometimes be quite frustrating and we are working hard to teach these little ones how to manage frustration and see challenges and a chance to grow, rather than a chance to fail.
My amazing little ones need a comfortable tent to take a calm down break in, a comfy rug to lay on, some rest mats and other tools that will help these little ones learn to breathe and calm themselves so they can learn.
When kids have the space to emotionally self-regulate, they become better able to do just that, self-regulate. With your help, my kiddos will have the tools they need for a comfortable space in the classroom to calm down and deal with frustration. Kids who can see challenges as opportunity instead of frustration are kids who learn to love learning!
