This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

We are a community and Title I school with limited resources and are in need of your support! We are composed of an extremely culturally diverse group of young ladies ranging from grades 9-12 from a variety of economic backgrounds. The parents and guardians of the girls have already given what they could to support this brand new team and trying to fundraise within chancellor's regulations, but with very little to no funding, we still need your help to purchase a cheerleading essential, pom poms.

My Project

As a brand new team, pom poms will allow the girls to finally feel like an actual cheerleading team. Due to no funding, the girls' families had to come out of their own pockets for practice gear but we still do not have the essentials of a cheer team (uniforms, sneakers, or pom poms). With pom poms, they will be able to perform their cheers with more enthusiasm and excitement. Pom poms will help with their image as cheerleaders, performances at games, fundraising events, and future pep rallies. Pom poms always make motions sharper and more exciting. The girls will be able to add emphasis to their cheers and dances, while attracting the attention of the fans and the opposing team. If my girls were given pom poms, they would rock the sidelines and demonstrate amazing spirit.
