Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Children love to play while learning. We, teachers, can make our teaching fun and boost their confidence. All the manipulatives in my cart will help me do this. Kindergartners are in the emergent and alphabetic principle stages of literacy development. The magnetic letters will help my kindergartners in the emergent stage to recognize letters and their sounds, which will eventually help them make associations between spoken and written language. The other manipulatives, such as the animals and fruits, will help them use descriptive language. When children are able to express their thinking, they improve their literacy skills, and we can use this opportunity to teach synonyms and antonyms to expand their vocabulary.
