My Project
I love how eager and open my students are to trying something new. For many of our middle school girls, joining the volleyball team is their very first experience with organized sports—and they show up ready to learn, support one another, and grow stronger together. It's inspiring to watch their confidence grow as they find their voice on the court and start to believe in themselves not just as athletes, but as teammates and leaders.
Access to strength training equipment like kettlebells and weight benches will empower our girls to build not only physical strength, but also the confidence and discipline that extend far beyond the gym.
The equipment we're requesting, kettlebells of various weights and weight benches, will help our students build the strength and endurance they need to compete safely and confidently. Many of them are just beginning their fitness journey, and these tools will help us teach them proper form, injury prevention, and the value of consistent effort.
We're also requesting volleyball-specific training equipment to help them understand the technical skills of the game—like how to properly set, serve, and spike. These tools will give them hands-on practice with the mechanics of volleyball, helping them build muscle memory and a deeper understanding of the sport. With your support, we’ll be able to give these students the chance to truly grow as athletes, teammates, and young people learning the power of perseverance and teamwork.
