My Students
"What are we exploring today?" These are the words that a student exclaimed as they all enter the classroom at the beginning of the day. The students are curious and inquisitive about the world around them. My students have investigative young minds, many of whom come from a bilingual household and receive free or reduced priced lunch.
Our Title I school serves students in grades kindergarten through fifth, and we provide rigorous academics, amazing teachers, and a safe and caring learning environment.
We are at 83% free lunch and our students are eager to learn. Our goal is to prepare our students for success in middle school, high school, college, and the world. We strive to create strong, kind and caring citizens.
My Project
My students need the Lego expansion kit and motors for the First Lego League challenge. The kit will provide the opportunity to creatively adapt their EV3 Lego robot, to compete in the the First Lego League robotics challenge. They are so excited to put their ideas into action!
Ultimately, this project enables students to add to their basic robot and creatively meet the challenges of the First Lego League robotics competition.
They can see their ideas come alive and push the boundaries of their knowledge and creativity. The expansion pack enables their creativity to flourish and provide other alternatives to their problem solving situations.
