My Students

Hands-on experiences are the best when it comes to learning concepts. In science, we try to do that every week. Sometimes we are limited due to safety equipment. Only so many students can experience mixing chemicals and testing properties and principles.

Many of my students come from a low socioeconomic background.

They are eager to learn, and crave that hands-on experience. As with any teacher, I am biased toward my students, and think they are the greatest. Our school focuses a lot on science and the students look forward to the labs.

My Project

My students need lab safety equipment such as goggles and aprons for all our labs. With the materials I currently have, only a certain number of students in each class are allowed to work on labs. The students who get goggles are the only ones who can be near the lab stations. If I am fortunate enough to receive these supplies, I will be able to have full classroom participation in all labs. Learning science concepts will be hands-on for everyone.

This donation will improve student comprehension of science concepts by increasing the number of students that can participate in our labs.

When it comes to discovering chemical properties of substances or finding out how rockets work, they will be able to do so safely.
