My students need Wobble Stools to help keep them moving throughout the day! Last year, I noticed an immediate difference in my student's ability to focus longer, with the ability to "wiggle while learning.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students love to come to school! It is a safe place for them where many children receive an education, but also to enjoy a balanced meal and adults who provide stability in their lives.
Students at our school are eager to learn and are appreciative of the "ordinary" things many of us take for granted.
They are excited to read new books, write about their families, and play math games with their friends.
I am always amazed at the light in their eyes and the spring in their step!
My Project
Flexible seating options provide students with the opportunity to move for more than 60 min throughout the day. Obesity is becoming an epidemic for our youth, partly due to the fact that they lead sedentary lives. With technology at our fingertips and schools still requiring a lot of 'seat work' students do not have the chance to do what comes the most natural to them, moving! With these stools, they will be moving for over 60 minutes daily! We already have 3 wobble stools that students share. The students who are not on wobble stools ask for them, they tell me that it's not fair we all want to move and learn.
