Help me give my students books about the farm workers activist, Cesar Chavez

My Project
My first graders briefly learned about Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta during Latino American history month. Today, a grandma of one of my students told me that she heard that we learned about Cesar Chavez. She told me that she had worked with Cesar during the grape boycott of the 1960s! She offered to talk to my class about her experiences! I would love for each of my students to be able to receive their very own copy of a short biography of Cesar Chavez to help them build their background knowledge before she speaks to them. We also participate in a mini unit on protests in January and learning about boycotts is part of this unit. We will reference the historic grape boycott during this unit.
Your donation will provide a book that will help deepen my students' knowledge about Cesar Chavez before a presentation from someone that knew him!
