Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I'm sure you love your ability to type what you need, or to search the web when you need information. We live in a world where we have instant access to everything. But my kiddies do not!
My first graders are amazing little learners.
They are from the inner city. My students lack the basics at home. Our school receives 100 percent free lunch, most of our kids come to school to eat. Many save their food so at night they have something to eat. They come to school to look for us to fill those needs that they have. Despite it all, they love being in school, and given the opportunity they love to learn.
My Project
Help me give them the opportunities to learn that they deserve. Your help will bring a computer into our classroom. With a computer my little first graders can go on-line, and conduct research and web quests. They can expand their reading and math learning by logging into support web-sties. What a great opportunity to differentiate student learning. My students who struggle with their motor skills can type instead of holding a pencil all day.
With your help, you will bring the word closer to my students hands.
They do not have Internet or computer at home. You will help them learn from reading to math to research! Please help my students reach the world, please help them have technology and the advantages to learn.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
