First graders love to move and be active and often struggle to stay in one space for too long. We move and have brain breaks as much as possible, but most independent work is done from our seats. I would love to allow my students other options for seating during work time such as cushions, inflatable seats, and clipboards.
Help me provide my students with flexible seating options to help get out wiggles and get them out of their traditional desks and chairs.
Moving, bouncing, and wobbling while they work will help them stay comfortable and on task. The clipboards will offer them the ability to work independently, or in groups, from different areas in the classroom. The fun, different seating options will keep students in their spaces, minimizing the disruptions within the classroom.
Traditional classroom seats and desks, and sitting on the floor can get uncomfortable. My students deserve to have flexible seating options that are both comfortable and accommodating for their energy levels!
