First Graders Study Wildlife In Their Natural Habitat

My students need the digital cameras to study wildlife up close in their natural habitat.

My Students

My students sat in class each school day with very little variation in the class schedule. Can you imagine the fun it will be for them to be outside learning about wildlife?

My students are the most adorable, fun loving, hardworking first graders there are.

They love learning new things and they especially love using technology. They attend a rural Title I school here in the Delta where they are provided a good academic foundation as well as cultural enrichment field trips.

My Project

My students will use the cameras to take pictures of the wild life near and around our school up close. They will be able to take pictures of the birds, fish in the stream, worms and other wildlife in the school's environment. They will study the different habitats and tell how men are destroying or preserving their habitats. They will study communities, ecosystems, populations, and adaptation.

Donations to my project will enable my students to study wildlife in the community up close.

They will be able to take pictures and learn a little about photography in the process. We will make a photo album using the pictures that they took on their natural explorations.
