My students are creative, thoughtful and full of questions. They absolutely love hands-on, active, engaging projects and challenges that allow them to think outside the box to find solutions.
They come to school each day ready to try new things and take brave chances in order to grow both personally and academically.
However, the first graders need the opportunity to get out of the building and explore animals in their habitat.
A trip for the entire first grade to Zoo Atlanta would be the perfect close to our Sharing the Planet International Baccalaureate unit.
My Project
"The environment can influence the survival of living things" is the Central Idea for our first grade IB unit, Sharing the Planet. Help Bolton Academy First Graders have the chance to see how animals survive in their habitats by visiting Zoo Atlanta.
The entire first grade will visit Zoo Atlanta after completing this International Baccalaureate unit.
This experience will allow students to touch, feel and listen to what they have been learning about in their classrooms. This will also help our students gain a better understanding of topics and expose them to visual learning about habitats outside of their community.
