Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I teach a 1st grade ICT classroom with 90% of my students being English Language Learners. We try to use technology in our class daily but have a limited supply. A lot of our students are visual and auditory learners and could benefit from a different learning mode, such as computer, tablets, etc. New technology is a great way to keep my students engaged while also learning new and important things. Please help my learners learn in a new way!
My Project
I am asking for one Microsoft Surface Go in my classroom will allow more children access our technology learning programs throughout the day in the classroom. With the additional technology being added, more students will be able to access both our iReady learning program to practice reading and math skills, as well as another reading program called Raz-kids, which our principal has paid for a yearly subscription for our class. As, well as have access to a mathematics program called XtraMath to practice basic fact fluency. This new way of learning will reach lots of learners for both ready and math in one! I have 30 students and this will help each and every one of them!
