This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My first grade students are curious, motivated, and happy to be back in school on a hybrid schedule. I love how proud they are when they figure out a math problem. Those “aha” moments with the primary students are priceless.
My Project
If my project is funded, it will provide comprehensive math tool kits for my students to have at home. We are on a blended model which means my students are half in person and half at home learning. I am live streaming to them on their at-home days. Having a math toolkit at home will provide my students with the materials necessary for our math lessons when they’re not in our classroom. This will help them achieve math SUCCESS during these difficult times. The younger ones need tangible tools for math.
