This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Basic supplies is all we need to start the year off right!
Please help my first graders get what they need to begin the school year on the right foot.
My students are wonderful, excited tiny little 5 and 6 year olds.
They are excited about being in first grade and learning to read and write. I teach in a school in New York City. Most of my students come from low income households. Some of my students live in shelters. Many of my students come from difficult home situations and school is their safe haven. I want to make their time in school a memorable and enjoyable one.
My Project
Some of my students' parents cannot afford to buy basic supplies for them. I am asking for the necessities to help then begin the year off right. We need pencils, markers, crayons, glue sticks, file folder boxes, and laminating paper. These supplies will be necessary especially in the first month of school. My students will become great readers and writers in first grade and these are the materials they will need.
My school does not have much money in their budget so supplies are very limited.
I try to buy as much as I can but it can be very expensive. I am asking that you please donate to help my students get what they need and deserve. Help make their first grade experience a great one like they deserve. Please donate to my project and help make a difference in my students lives!
