My Students

Have you ever wondered what it was like to spend 8 hours a day with 20 eager and excited 1st graders? Well, let me tell you, a fun time! We are a class full of different types of learners all working towards the same goal!

Our school is a Title I School with 100% free and reduced lunch.

Many of our students receive bagged food to take home with them over the weekends. Regardless of some of their circumstances, these children are full of love, laughter, and the want to learn!

My Project

Students in the classroom are in dire need for an electric pencil sharpener. Students become very discouraged when their pencil breaks in the middle of an assignment and they have no way to quickly sharpen their pencil. Unfortunately, it is also an inconvenience for any adults in the classroom to have to stop instruction to sharpen a pencil. Along with the sharpener, we also are in need of pencils. The Ticonderoga pencils are magical because they do at least last much longer than regular pencils.

Students are in need of dry erase materials to enhance instruction and collaboration during math.

Students do a great job when they are able to use a special marker and board to complete math problems.
