Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Guided reading books will help students gain confidence when reading as they maneuver their way through books on their instructional level. With practice, students will be able to gradually move on to the next level with minor frustration and at a pace that will be beneficial for them!
Using these new books during guided reading, my students will gradually learn to read independently at their own reading level.
These books will keep students engaged and create a positive outlook on reading, while also learning the foundational skills and basics of reading.
A laminator and laminating sheets will help provide students with reusable activities to strengthen their reading skills.
Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student's needs are met, right where they are! They are truly an incredible group and I am so lucky and thankful to have a group of learners that are excited and ready to learn each year!
