Hidden Valley is a very diverse school. We have almost 900 students serving many different populations.
I have a classroom full of excited 1st graders who are eager to embrace technology!
With 27 little bodies in our classroom to teach, love, and help shape into their own little person, it can be exhausting at times. Our class is just so sweet and full of enough energy to take on the world! Many of our students do not have the necessary tools needed at home to continue learning. Our learning time at school becomes even more valuable.
My Project
My students need 5 Chromebooks in our classroom to help them build 21st Century skills that will prepare them for high school, college, and beyond. With Chromebooks, the learning possibilities are endless.
We will use the Chromebooks daily during our reading and math centers.
Students can access so many books online to read, practice math facts in a fun and engaging way, learn coding, do research, and write reports. We will also be developing digital portfolios to share with our classmates and our families! It is also a great way to differentiate learning for each student and allow them to work at their own pace and level.
