My Project

Flexible seating in classrooms is an innovative approach that allows students to choose from various seating options, to create a learning environment that best suits their individual needs. This strategy has been shown to enhance student engagement, focus, and collaboration. The stools will allow students to sit at different places in the classroom including counters, alternative tables or provide student with another option for seating at their desks. Students will also have the opportunity to sit on the flower spots around the room. While the chair storage pockets will also keep all of the students organized while using their flexible seating options.

-Increased Engagement and Focus: Providing students with seating choices can lead to heightened engagement and improved concentration, as they select environments where they feel most comfortable and attentive.

-Empowerment and Responsibility: Allowing students to choose their seating fosters a sense of autonomy and encourages them to take responsibility for their learning preferences and behaviors.

-Support for Diverse Learning Needs: Students with attention challenges or sensory processing differences may find flexible seating options particularly beneficial, as these arrangements can cater to their specific needs and promote better focus.
