My Students
My 13 first grade students are the reason I love my job so much. They come to school eager to learn and are just a pleasure to teach all day. We are a small title one school in rural Alaska. It is Spring and we are gaining sunlight everyday. It is the time of the year when we talk A LOT about plants and Alaskans start planting for the summer.
My Project
My First Grade students are hands-on learners. This project will cater to their learning style by allowing them to get their hands dirty by planting their own flowers. There is nothing more rewarding than growing and nurturing your very own plant.
Students will learn all about germination, the parts of a plant, and what plants need to survive and flourish.
Can you help my 13 Alaskan students by giving them the opportunity to become successful gardeners? This is an awesome experience that will provide them with the interest, skills, and knowledge to successfully garden.
