This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My wonderful first-grade class consists of 24 creative and curious students. They have lots of energy and they like to be challenged. We are a Title I school in a low-income community and almost all of our students qualify for free lunch and breakfast.
My first graders are eager to learn and have a passion for learning.
During this current Pandemic, my goal is to better prepare and equip my students for virtual learning.
As their teacher, I need to ensure that my students are presented with the best resources available and that I can reach them virtually without having technical difficulties.
My Project
The Apple laptop will help me stay in touch with my students during these difficult times. As we get ready to begin the school year virtually, the proper technology is vital and essential for me to be able to connect with my first graders. My school assigned computer is almost 10 years old and can fail on me at any time. I've had difficulty using software on my computer necessary for virtual learning.
A MacBook Air laptop will allow me to give my students the opportunity to learn from home with engaging and interactive lessons.
A reliable computer will allow me to create my lessons and teach my students virtually. I will be able to connect with my students through Zoom more effectively and provide them access to the latest online resources needed for a good robust distance learning program.
