Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a first-grade teacher, I’m building a classroom where my students can learn, grow, and feel safe every day. I’m requesting essential supplies like markers, crayons, pencils, erasers, and a classroom timer to support daily learning and classroom routines. Class sets of dry erase markers and erasers will allow students to practice skills together, while storage containers will help keep everything organized and accessible. I’m also requesting an oil diffuser to create a calm and welcoming space. These tools will make a big difference in helping my students thrive this school year. My future first graders are full of curiosity, energy, and heart. Each child will come into our classroom with their own unique personality, background, and learning style, and I want them to know they are seen and valued just as they are. At this age, students are developing a love for learning, building friendships, and growing in confidence every single day. What makes them truly special is their resilience, their eagerness to explore the world around them, and the joy they bring into every moment we share together.
