This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students live in the epicenter of COVID-19 in Elmhurst, NY. They come from families who have many hardships including financial, emotional, and medical that have been present previously and have been worsened by COVID-19.

My students are eager to learn new ideas everyday.

They are kind hearted and have the motivation to want to come to school despite their hardships. Their smiles and energy keep the community together.

My Project

My students, in past school years, would have been able to share supplies such as dry erase boards and write and wipe pocket charts that reinforce skills that have been previously taught.

Though this school year will be different than in previous years.

This year, I will need to make individual supply boxes in order for each student to safely continue to practice their skills while keeping them engaged in the learning process.

Please help my students receive their own learning supplies to practice skills such as writing their letters, writing sight words, identifying numbers, and also drawing pictures to practice addition and subtraction.
