This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from all different backgrounds and have varied skill levels and interests. My goal is to create a welcoming and resource-rich environment that is filled with engaging activities, while also providing them with a comforting and safe place to come to every day. There are many supplies that we use many times every single day and so we go through them quickly, like whiteboard markers and erasers. Other items are used more sparingly throughout the year, and so are bought to last over multiple years of first graders.
