My Project
My little group of busy first graders are ready for some hands on reading and math centers! Centers are a huge part of our day in first grade and collaborative and hands on learning along with our reading and math curriculum will round out some wonderful days of learning in our classroom. My little ones will use the math and phonics manipulatives at small group teacher led centers, individual learning centers, and with partners to work on the reading and math skills that they are learning in class. Word work, phonics, and number sense are a big part of our centers at this grade level. This project will give them more manipulatives to work with during whole group instruction and also give them the opportunity to branch out and work on their own. Thank you for considering this project for my first grade students!
