Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I recently graduated from Sam Houston State University and have been hired as a first-grade teacher at a brand-new school. While I am excited to begin this new chapter, I am also mindful that I am still in the process of gathering essential materials to ensure a smooth start to the school year.

To address this, I have created a project to help secure some of the basic supplies necessary for effectively teaching my first-grade students.

Items included in this project are magnetic letters for word-building, CVC and CCVCC word cards for spelling practice, soundproof phones to help students hear their own voices while reading, dry-erase boards, dry-erase markers, and erasers.

Securing funding for this project will provide the tools and resources I need to create an engaging and effective learning environment, helping my students succeed from the very first day.
