My Project
My students have worked hard to learn how to keep our space and themselves clean! They all have jobs to set up the classroom at the beginning of the day and clean up at the end of the day. The thing is, first graders are messy! And the cold season is tough! Our classroom and school have run out of all our tissues and wet wipes. We need a restock to keep our classroom clean and encourage personal hygiene independence.
My students eat breakfast and lunch in the school and very frequently spill their food or drinks on themselves.
Additionally, bathroom accidents happen frequently with six-year-old students who spent the first four years of their lives at home during a pandemic. I want to set up a system in our room where students can independently get replacement clothes and clean themselves. In order to do that, my classroom needs to have a stock of fresh underwear, briefs, and sweatpants and joggers.
