Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This iPads will allow my wonderful first graders the access and opportunity to become proficient in navigating technology to increase their reading and math abilities.
Our school district has purchased the i-Ready reading and math platform to allow students to work at their individual level to increase their reading and math abilities.
This platform addresses the Nevada essential standards of answering questions about key details in a text and major events in stories. In math, students will use the iPad to meet standards of solving additional and subtraction within 20, solve word problems, comparing, and finding unknowns.
Having access to more iPads will afford more students the opportunity to be a 21st century learner. Offering more technology will increase growth my students can make in reading and math.
