Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The materials that I have chosen for this project will help my students become engaged in hands-on learning. I work in a Title 1 school where almost all of our population is on free and reduced lunch. Literacy and math skills are so important for these students. As their first grade teacher, it is imperative that I do everything I can to set a solid foundation for their education and I feel strongly that using hands-on materials is the best way to keep kids focused, engaged, and to help them achieve their goals.
