My Project

I am a veteran teacher, but I will be teaching first grade this year for the first time. First grade is such a critical year for mastering so many foundational skills, and setting students up for success in the future. While setting up my classroom, my goal is to incorporate engaging daily routines, create a warm, inviting environment that my students look forward to being in, and provide the organization that is imperative when trying to do so much in a limited amount of time. Computer chairs, book bins, calendar math, a rug for our tile floor, dry erase boards, and "boogie" boards would help to accomplish this goal and help my new first grade class look forward to coming to school each day.
