My fifth-eighth grade STEM students cross-age tutor first-fourth graders in STEM projects each Tuesday. They have formed strong relationships with their young peers.
Engineering with a social-emotional component will be our STEM focus for the next 6 weeks.
My 5th-8th graders will support the younger students as they plan and construct structures using tinker toys and Lincoln logs. Students will use the farm animal and tool sets for the social-emotional component of the experience.
The fifth-8th grade students will take pictures of the younger students’ projects and write articles about the experience, which will be included in our school newspaper.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
