My Project

What I love most about my students is how much hope they carry—despite the odds stacked against them. At our Title I college-prep high school, they’re walking into 9th grade with big dreams, but not always the tools to match. The notebooks and folders will give them structure in a new, more demanding environment. The artsy pencils and stickers will remind them that learning can still be joyful and personal. Snacks will keep them going when they’re too proud to say they’re hungry. And the classroom rule art? That’s a daily reminder that they matter, they belong, and they’re capable of greatness. Every item helps build a learning environment where they feel prepared, seen, and supported. It's a small act of care that says, “I believe in you—let me help you.”
