Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As the school nurse for a building that serves over 600 students, my office is a constant hub of activity. Every day, children come in with minor needs—scrapes, chapped lips, sore throats—that can often be addressed quickly and easily. However, these small issues can interrupt valuable learning time.

First Aid in the classroom will keep kids learning.

That’s why I’m creating simple, classroom-friendly first aid kits that will allow students to take care of basic needs right where they are. With supplies like band-aids, lip balm, and mints, teachers can help students stay focused and in the classroom, rather than making a trip to the nurse's office for minor concerns. To organize these supplies in a way that’s accessible and classroom-ready, I’ll be using Covzoe 6 Pack Plastic Organizer Boxes with Adjustable Dividers.

Many of our incredible teachers already purchase these items out of their own pockets. By providing ready-to-use kits for every classroom—and keeping them stocked throughout the year—I hope to ease that burden and support both our staff and students.
