Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
When I started collecting items for my Transitional Kindergarten classroom I did not think about needing items to interchange throughout the school year! I am wanting to purchase this dollhouse to interchange with my traditional dollhouse that is currently in my classroom. This way my students first off have a rotation of toys, and secondly they can work on their community helper skills!
My goal for this project is to provide meaningful learning experiences through toys that are representative of real life people, occupations, and places.
My teaching philosophy is to incorporate play into nearly every learning opportunity my students have and encourage learning through play! With this dollhouse we will be able to accomplish many learning targets thru a fun and interactive means for my students.
