Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My third grade students come from a variety of socioeconomic backgrounds, with a majority of them living in poverty. Although they face these challenges at home, my students always come to school eager to learn, and strive for excellence everyday.

I teach at a Title 1 school in Arizona where 100% of our students receive free breakfast and lunch.

My classroom is a place where my students come to learn and grow in a positive, caring and safe environment. I want to give my students everything they need to be successful.

My Project

A set of Kindle Fires will help me to create a classroom that would meet all of my student's needs. These tablets will allow my students to access applications such as Epic, iReady, Front Row, and Flocabulary. My students would be able to use these applications to individualize their learning to their specific needs in both Reading and Math.

Not only will the students get direct instruction from me, they will be able to apply and practice their skills using hands on technology.

I want to give my students the tools to be successful, and with the help of technology, they will be engaged and excited to learn.
