Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I have a classroom full of awesome third graders who will soon be fourth graders. Their love for learning and strive for excellence are evident each and every day!
My school is a renaissance school (93% of the students are on free or reduced-price lunch).
The population of the school is 70% Hispanic learners. Most students do not have access to books or learning materials at home. The students at my school are driven and excelling to reach their full potential even in the face of adversity.
My Project
My students learn best when the lessons are interactive and engaging. They gain a better understanding of science and math concepts through pictures, videos, technology and web-based resources. With Amazon Fire tablets in the classroom, my students will be able to become a part of the learning. They will expand their knowledge through the use of research, learning apps, videos, and pictures. The headphones will allow the students to work on the tablets without distracting others. These tablets will improve my students literacy skills in a fun interactive way.
Donations to this project will help students move one step closer to success by including them and exposing them to a classroom filled with pictures, videos, research and interactive technology lessons.
