My Students

My students are the best! They have a hunger to learn. They love to learn using technology. They also love the arts. They are very inquisitive and a loving bunch of students. I feel they are the clear description of generation next.

My students are always looking for ways to advance their education whether its exploring nature at the botanical gardens or exploration at The Hall of Science. As a teacher I believe in teaching the whole child. The classroom extends itself and should be endless!

My Project

Technology will help me differentiate instruction for struggling learners. I will be able to use the tablets to help teach English to immigrant students as well as at risk students. The tablets will help me assess students needs and help administer instruction. I will also use the tablets for STEM. Students will be able to conduct research and develop and engineer projects for the 21 century.

There is a huge disparity of access to technology for the population of students that I teach.

in fact my classroom only has two computers. It has been proven that students learn better in a computer based environment. Information presented to students using technology not only enhances instruction, but it also helps the student to retain information. Technology used in the classroom renders huge results.

The Fire tablets will enhance instruction and allow students who don't have access to technology to compute in a technological base society.
