This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have two classes of smart, energetic students. Many come from challenging backgrounds. Many struggle in the traditional school environment. I get two classes, for three AWESOME hours every day, and we are learning Mechatronics Engineering...in other words, FIRE Breathing Robots.

Help me build a Blogger / Video Studio to record demos, and other lesson and lab material.

Creating Differentiated Learning options for my students is a Huge goal for me this year. All my class material is open sources and licensed under Creative Commons share alike licensing... Having good podcasting/blogging/lecture and video studio equipment will go a long way in making my curriculum content better. Help us out, so I can build a cool blogging studio.

My Project

It has been well proven that students learn differently, and do better at retaining knowledge when they have many different ways to learn.

WooHoo, one of my key projects this year is to record all my lectures and then provide current and future students with videos of lecture and lab curriculum that has transcribed speaker notes, video and audio to go with the lecture slide content.

With these LED lights and tripods, I'll be able to light my electronics builds as I record lesson and lab videos. The IPEVO V4K document camera, will let me zoom in and show the fine detail on an electronic breadboard or circuit board. Having a quality video / blogging setup will go a long way to create quality content and curriculum.
