My Project
Hi! I recently graduated college and this year will be my first year teaching! I will be teaching fourth grade at a Title I school. Many of my students come from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. I have already received funding for the majority of items for my classroom. However, I'm looking to add a bit more. Specifically, I'm looking for a three-tier letter tray to use as a turn-in bin for student work. I plan on using each tier for a different subject (one for math, one for ELA, and one for science/social studies). I also hope to receive a classroom doorbell to use as an attention-getter for the class! Additionally, I would like a small broom and dustpan to keep our classroom tidy.
Beyond those larger items, I'm looking for birthday bookmarks and pencils to give to my students on their birthdays.
Additionally, I'm hoping to receive bee stickers to use as incentives for students. I would like to use the bee stress ball as a talking piece for our classroom morning circle (whoever is holding the bee gets to speak and students will pass the bee around the circle until everyone has gotten a chance to share).
I'm also looking for a mason jar and some extra little wooden bees for our classroom management system (because I'm sure throughout the school year, some bees may get lost or misplaced). For our classroom management system, each student will start the day with two bees on their desk. If a student is off-task or behaving inappropriately, then they will lose a bee. At the end of the day, students put the bees remaining on their desks in a jar. Once the jar is full, the class will get a reward such as extra recess or a dance party.
