This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My sewing club is off to a great start with the addition of new sewing machines that recently received funding. My students have so many great ideas in mind and they cannot wait to get started on their next project. Traditional sergers can be a bit difficult because the threading process involves many steps in such a small space. The Bernina serger has air-threading technology that will make the process of threading a lot easier and take less time.

I want my students to immerse themselves in hands-on learning in the classroom.

Developing self-confidence and real-world life skills will set students up for success.
