This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students come into the classroom every day full of life, ready to learn and excited for what is in store for them that day. I teach at a Title I school where 93% of our students receive subsidized lunches. Our school serves students in grades PK through 8th grade and provides rigorous academics, fantastic teachers, and a safe learning environment
They are dreamers, thinkers, talkers, and questioners.
They are mini inspirations to themselves and others around them, even though they don't know it yet. They are the future, and I want to give them the best start I can in school.
My Project
My students use the lined paper to practice writing their names, the alphabet and words around the room. The consistent blue and red lines are extremely helpful for preschoolers and we aren't always able to find it. We also are looking for more manipulatives such as shimmer shapes and wiggly eyes to help us make patterns as well as counting items.
My class enjoys making art projects several times a week and we sometimes run out of glue sticks.
We try very hard to use it sparingly but it doesn't always last. We also enjoy lacing cards but some of our laces have been well-loved and we need more of them.
