Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I represent inquisitive and creative two and four-year-olds. They come to school ready to explore and learn for their physical developmental and cognitive growth. Their enthusiasm for learning inspires us every day. We are located in an underfunded sector of Los Angeles. The population we serve is mainly comprised of Latino children living below the poverty line. Our public school accommodates 115 general and special education students. Every student at my school comes from a low-income family and receives the free lunch program.
My Project
My preschoolers are 2- and 4-year olds, on the cusp of exploring the world around them. They have left their infant days behind and are ready to develop their fine motor skills that will emerge them into cutting and writing. An exciting time for children discovering what their little hands are capable of.
As children reach for blocks, lift them and move them around, their fingers, hands and arms are strengthening.
Please help our children further develop creatively in an enriched environment that allows for endless possibilities in their learning.
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
