Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As a schools based occupational therapist, I use games as a fun, engaging way to help students develop essential skills such as fine motor coordination, visual-motor integration, hand strength and sensory regulation. Many of my students have difficulties with tasks like handwriting, cutting and using classroom tools. These games and puzzles will provide a motivating way to practice these skills while boosting imagination and confidence.
This project will fund a variety of games, toys and supplies including puzzles and play-dough.
These materials will be used in therapy sessions to target hand function, bilateral coordination, social skills, and attention to task, all while encouraging students to express themselves creatively.
Your support will help create hands-on learning opportunities that are not only therapeutic but also joyful and meaningful. Every donation helps my students gain the skills they need to participate more fully and confidently in both school and life.
