My Project
I am requesting supplies to help my students learn their names and practice their fine motor skills in a fun hands on way.
We are a K3 special education class and learning through hands on activities and play is best.
I try to create fun play like hands on activities for the children to learn with. These materials will allow me to do just that
We will use thermal sheets, bags, and trays to create hands on name activities. We start each day matching letters in our name and tracing them. Each student receives their own tray with their name, and letters in a bag.
For so many of students with exceptional needs they can become frustrated and not want to complete an activity if they continue to be unsuccessful. The spring scissors will allow me to introduce the correct way to use scissors in a errorless way encouraging the students to keep trying.
