Fine Motor Frenzy!!!

Help me give my students some fun ways to build their little finger muscles while they play. This includes doll clothes, Clip Create Builders, and other items.

My Students

I have a wonderful group of four and five year old students in my classroom. Many were learning virtually last year and spent a lot of time using phones and tablets to learn. While many have learned some of the basics their fine motor skills have taken a big hit. Many need hands-on learning, cooperative play, and fun.

Now that they are in the classroom we see a need for more fine motor activities.

Their little finger muscles have missed some very important time in the classroom manipulating small toys and playing.

My Project

In returning to in-person learning I have noticed more students than normal struggling with simple fine motor activities including writing, holding writing instruments and manipulating small objects. I feel the use of tablets, phones, and computers is causing students to lose the important muscles in their hands. There is a need to strengthen the muscles to make them successful. These toys will help them do that while they are playing and having fun. These toys would have them twisting, pinching, tearing, and much more while also using their imagination in the classroom.
