This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
The items I am requesting will make a significant impact on my students’ learning by enhancing engagement, organization, and accessibility in the classroom. A laminating machine and sheets will allow me to create durable, reusable learning materials, such as visual schedules, flashcards, and hands-on activities that support my students’ individualized learning needs. Mini golf pencils and mini drawing pads will encourage fine motor development and creativity, giving students a fun and manageable way to practice writing and drawing. Alphabet puzzles will provide an interactive, tactile approach to literacy, helping young learners develop letter recognition and phonics skills. Dr. Seuss’s "Oh, the Places You’ll Go!" will serve as an inspirational tool, promoting a growth mindset and encouraging students to reach for their dreams. Lastly, a teacher floor seat will allow me to be at eye level with my students during small-group instruction and play-based learning, fostering stronger connections and engagement.
My goal for this project is to create an engaging, supportive learning environment through visuals, where students feel encouraged to explore, create, and grow.
My students are special because they bring unique strengths, perspectives, and potential. With the right resources, I can help them build confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
