My students need a classroom kit from Franklin Covey in order to fully implement our "Leader In Me" strategies.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students point out when the principal is "Thinking Win-Win" by cleaning up school, or when their classmate "is being proactive" by practicing their math facts. They can "talk the talk" of the Leadership strategies of Sean Covey and Leader in Me schools. However, we don't "walk the walk" just yet.
Every single one of my students is going to be a leader.
In fact, they already are leaders. We are leaders in the hallway, the classroom and at home. The Leader in Me is a process that builds character and fundamental life skills for children, teachers and families.
My students live in a community where parents work (often more than one job) and do not have time or resources to necessarily provide the examples of leaders that children need to see. Our school provides wonderful programs for children such as free breakfast and lunch, however, we are still working on the atmosphere of the school. As of now, the walls are blank and cold, and the spirit is minimal. My students don't know they are leaders yet. I will continue to believe in them until they believe in themselves.
My Project
The 7 Habits of Happy Kids classroom kit will allow my students access to a host of activities, examples, and lessons on the website by giving us an access code. In addition, it will provide each student with an activity booklet to learn about the habits and it will give me a set of lessons to use, and a set of beautiful posters to display in my classroom as daily reminders of "positive characters of leaders."
Your donations, no matter how small, will SYNERGIZE together in order to make a huge impact on kids that need it the most.
Students in high needs areas need to know that reacting to their surroundings as if there is nothing they can do is not the only choice; this classroom kit will help me encourage them to see the proactive choice they have to become leaders, go to college, and make a difference.
